About the position Oncology 9 (formerly Bäckenonkologen) at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna is a highly specialized care unit focusing on gynecological, urological, and colorectal cancer. Here we care for patients with complex care needs, including those undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. We are the national intake for trophoblastic tumors and receive patients from across the country, which provides unique breadth and expertise in our field. Our department has 28 care beds that are fully occupied, and work is organized into six care teams during day shifts and six care teams during evening shifts. Our teams consist of nurses and nursing assistants working closely together with physicians and other professionals. We have a strong focus on holistic care where psychosocial nursing is an integral part of daily work. With us you will receive close support from the department's experienced specialist oncology nurses. They mentor and teach advanced nursing procedures directly in clinical work, which creates excellent opportunities for development and deepened expertise. This position is a six-month temporary contract with night shift work.
