When the clinic goes quiet, the night team takes over. We're primarily looking for three animal care assistants level 3 — but veterinarians and licensed veterinary nurses are also welcome to apply. You'll care for our hospitalized patients during evenings, nights, and weekends — in a modern animal hospital with convenient access near Uppsala. 3 positions · Primarily animal care assistant level 3 · Filled on a rolling basis Scheduled work · No on-call duties · Paid rest during shift · 3-person rotation About the Position You are who our patients are waiting for. As one of three on our night team, you're responsible for hospitalized patients — monitoring, medication, care, and emergency interventions when needed. Each shift begins with three hours of active work including cleaning, restocking, and patient care. After that, you can rest, even sleep, in our rest room — with full pay — as long as the patients are doing well. Care and supervision of hospitalized patients during evenings, nights, and weekends Rolling 3-week schedule — averaging 37.5 hours per week At least 55 hours of rest between each shift — well above legal requirements Modern clinic with operating room, lab, X-ray, and rest room with bed Qualifications — we're primarily seeking trained animal care assistant level 3. Compensation will be discussed upon contact and depends on your experience and qualifications. The entire shift is paid work time — including the hours you rest — with evening, night, and weekend supplements. Schedule in Brief Long shifts. Longer time off. Shifts run from late afternoon to morning — weekdays 17:00 or 19:00 to 08:30, weekends starting 16:00. You work two to three shifts per week, never more. 7 shifts per week, divided among three colleagues in fixed rotation 2–3 shifts per person per week — the rest is your time 55+ hours of continuous rest between each shift, guaranteed in the schedule 3 hours of active work open each shift — then rest if patients allow Your Workplace Built in 2024.
