Do you want to help create a safe work environment in a socially important operation? We are now seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer who wants to take a central role in developing and advancing our systematic occupational health and safety work. This is a key role for someone who wants to combine technical expertise with a strong commitment to occupational health and safety. You will become our specialist in physical and technical occupational health and safety and will have significant responsibility to support operations, develop working methods, and contribute to a safe and secure workplace. About the Role As an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer, you will work both operatively and strategically on occupational health and safety matters within our power grid and city network operations. You will be a qualified support to managers and operations in daily occupational health and safety work and will drive the development of our systematic occupational health and safety efforts. The role is organized within the management staff division, and you will report to the Staff Manager. This includes operations in finance, HR, communication, IT, administration, and customer service. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with managers, safety representatives, HR, and operations. You work independently and have great opportunities to influence and develop how occupational health and safety work is conducted. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: Drive and develop systematic occupational health and safety work (SAM). Conduct occupational health and safety assessments and risk analyses within physical and technical occupational health and safety. Support and advise managers on occupational health and safety matters. Investigate accidents and incidents and propose preventive measures. Plan and conduct training in occupational health and safety. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and follow developments in the field. Collaborate with the Swedish Work Environment Authority during inspections and similar activities. Contribute to long-term, preventive, and development-focused occupational health and safety work. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in occupational health and safety who wants to contribute to a safe and sustainable workplace. You enjoy working both closely with operations and on strategic development issues. You are self-driven, take initiative, and have a talent for building trust and establishing good collaborations. Unpretentious with good collaboration skills. We are looking for someone who has: Relevant education in occupational health and safety or equivalent expertise. Experience with risk analyses and root cause investigations. Several years of experience in a similar role. Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and systematic occupational health and safety work. Experience in independently driving occupational health and safety matters. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. It is a merit if you have a technical background and experience from the energy, industrial, or construction sectors.
