Development in the road vehicle sector is moving fast. That's why it's important that our regulations are up-to-date and functional, while we also need to stay ahead when it comes to future vehicle regulations—both in the short and long term.
As a national regulations coordinator, you will oversee the unit's work on national regulations development, which often means supporting employees in developing new regulations or implementing changes to existing ones. In the role, you will introduce new employees to the process, quality-review documentation for various decision points, and serve as a group leader for smaller regulation projects. You will be responsible for anchoring and following up on the unit's regulations development work, which includes regular check-ins with various functions regarding the status of ongoing projects, and support in the unit's quarterly and annual follow-ups.
The role involves being a central point for the unit's current and upcoming national regulations development work, where you help keep both internal and external information updated. Your main area will be national coordinator for the development of vehicle technical regulations.
The role requires the ability to drive and coordinate several different assignments simultaneously, and we see that you can both initiate and lead collaborations, as well as maintain good dialogue with multiple specialists and functions within our subject areas. You will also
quality-review documentation together with the legal function before initiating, issuing for consultation, and deciding on regulations
conduct some monitoring of the external environment within the vehicle regulations area
compile comments during internal consultation of new procedures, processes, or other documentation related to regulation work
coordinate needs for submissions for the unit
be process leader for the unit regarding the regulation development process
coordinate work across the unit for updating the unit's and department's working procedures.
You must have
a relevant academic degree or other equivalent knowledge/experience that we assess as equivalent (preferably with a legal and/or technical focus)
multiple years of experience leading processes and coordinating work
experience with regulations development work, primarily regulations
very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you also have
experience with vehicle regulations development at the national level
experience/knowledge of regulations within the vehicle sector
experience as a project manager
current experience with comparable work tasks in a government agency.

The employment is permanent with placement in Borlänge, Stockholm, or Gothenburg. Appointment by agreement. We normally use a probationary period. Employment with us may involve placement in a security clearance class. A security vetting with record check in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our work tasks in security classes, Swedish citizenship is required.
