Job Description Would you like to work on some of Sweden's most complex automation projects alongside one of the country's strongest networks of Siemens specialists? At AFRY Advanced Automation in Stockholm, we help industry build the facilities of the future through modern automation, digitalization, and intelligent control systems. We are currently seeking an experienced automation engineer with expertise in Siemens PCS7 who wants to take a key role in everything from major investments and new construction to modernization of existing process facilities. With us, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with customers in water and wastewater, energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing industry. Projects vary in both scope and complexity, giving you a developing work environment where you can combine technical depth with customer contact and problem-solving. Your Role: From System Concept to Operational Facility As a senior automation engineer, you will be an important part of our project teams and contribute throughout the project lifecycle. You will work with everything from feasibility studies and system design to programming, testing, commissioning, and technical support to the customer. The position suits you if you appreciate variety and want to combine practical automation work with technical responsibility. You will work in both larger multidisciplinary projects and smaller assignments where you have the opportunity to influence solutions and working methods. You will work with, among other things: Programming, configuration, and development in Siemens PCS7 Work with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems System design and technical solutions for process industrial facilities FAT, SAT, commissioning, and verification Troubleshooting and optimization of existing automation solutions Documentation, quality assurance, and technical review Technical consulting and close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and project organizations Mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team Qualifications Since you will be working on solving advanced problems, we would like you to enjoy problem-solving. Multiple years of experience from engineering projects for new process facilities. Many years of experience as an automation engineer and strong knowledge of working in Siemens software, specifically SIMATIC PCS 7, is highly desirable. Experience with other DCS/PLC/SCADA systems is also relevant and interesting for the position. Hold a category B driver's license as travel in periods is a natural part of your role.
