The Municipal Board Administration's task is to support, provide service, and ensure that laws and regulations are followed within their respective areas of expertise for our core operations. The Municipal Board Administration consists of departments for finance, administration, HR, communication & growth, and the payroll unit. You see what needs to be done, and you do it. Munkedals Municipality is scaling up its work on attractiveness, business climate, tourism, business establishments, and strategic collaboration. We are seeking a Business Development Officer who can build relationships, create structure, and turn dialogue, needs, and ideas into concrete action. Job Description As a Business Development Officer, you will be part of the Communication and Growth Department with the mission to increase growth and get more people to recommend Munkedal. You will work strategically and operatively with business climate, business services, business establishments, tourism, place development, workforce supply, and regional collaboration. You build relationships with businesses, associations, regional actors, and municipal operations and contribute to making the municipality work more cohesively, service-oriented, and knowledge-based. You monitor the external environment and identify opportunities for collaboration, development projects, and external funding. In your role, you will work with business establishment issues, conduct business visits, hold dialogues and thematic meetings, and lead development processes. Contacts, commitments, and follow-ups are documented in shared systems so that next steps are clear, work can be tracked, and knowledge is available throughout the organization. You also prepare materials for management and elected officials. We are Looking For Someone Who has relevant academic education or other experience that the employer considers equivalent. has experience in business development, community development, business development, place development, tourism, and/or strategic collaboration. has good understanding of business conditions. has the ability to lead processes and create results through collaboration. has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. has excellent digital competence and experience using digital tools in work. has a driver's license (category B). has experience working in a municipal or regional organization (meriting). has experience in business climate work, business establishment issues, external funding, project management, or strategic communication (meriting).
