The Care and Social Services Department provides services, support, care, and welfare to the elderly and persons with disabilities, and is responsible for the exercise of authority in accordance with applicable legislation. The department conducts operations in elderly care, disability services (LSS), social psychiatry, health and medical care, family support, and authority management. All work is carried out with the resident in focus, based on our core values: considerate treatment, participation, trust, and security. You will be part of the Strategy and Analysis team together with an administrative lawyer, investigator, welfare crime investigator, and contracts controller. The team has a department-wide mandate and works with, among other things, board processes, activity planning and follow-up, internal control, legal matters, contracts, and efforts against welfare crime. Since the team is newly established, the role will develop over time, and you will have the opportunity to help shape working methods, responsibility distribution, and common procedures. 1 position(s). DUTIES Do you have an interest in societal issues, democracy, and public administration? Are you also interested in quality, structure, and legal certainty in board work? We are now seeking an engaged and well-organized board secretary with strong service awareness and the ability to create clarity and quality in an important democratic process. The role suits you if you enjoy qualified administrative work and want to contribute to well-functioning democratic processes. As a board secretary, you are the hub of the board process and provide support to elected officials, department management, and case handlers. You contribute to ensuring that the board's work is conducted in a legally sound, efficient, and high-quality manner. You also have an important role in developing structure and common working methods in the board process. Duties include coordinating the board process, managing notices, meeting documents, minutes, and expediting decisions. You review materials based on formality and clarity and train employees and managers in the board process, case management systems, and the preparation of service memoranda. You also coordinate delegated decisions and contribute to structured follow-up of the board's decisions. You coordinate work on the board's information management plan together with relevant functions. When necessary, you also handle referrals and other matters within the team's area of responsibility. Since the scope of the board secretary role varies throughout the year, you may also participate in development projects and follow-ups based on the department's needs and your competence profile. As support to department management, you also provide practical coordination, such as invoice handling, bookings, orders, and administrative support at meetings such as central coordination meetings, leadership forums, and association meetings. It is meritorious if you have: • Experience working as a board secretary or similar position. • Experience with qualified administrative work with a focus on structure, documentation, formality, and service. • Good knowledge of the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act. • Experience from a politically governed organization. • Experience in conducting training. • Experience with case management systems. You are service-oriented, responsible, and thorough with a good ability to create structure. You enjoy qualified administrative work where formality and documentation are important, and you collaborate well while working independently. Since the team is newly established, you need to be confident in taking initiative and contributing to the development of common working methods. You can prioritize between multiple tasks and maintain quality even under time pressure. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
