As a student assistant at Nacka adapted upper secondary school, you'll have an important role in supporting students in their development, both academically and socially, in a safe and inclusive school environment. Your assignment In this role as a student assistant at Nacka adapted upper secondary school, you'll follow and support one or a couple of students throughout the entire school day. Your task is to contribute to a safe, structured, and developmental school environment where students are given the opportunity to develop based on their individual circumstances. You help students with their schoolwork, create safe and professional relationships, and adapt your support to their individual needs. You work with patience and encourage students to manage as much as possible on their own, while remaining attentive to when they need help. You participate in all parts of the school day, such as classes, breaks, physical education, lunch, and activities like the UF kiosk, and accompany students on excursions and study visits. You collaborate with teachers and other staff, contribute to safety in social contexts, mediate conflicts, and are attentive to students' well-being. The role requires a calm and clear approach, good overview, and the ability to determine when to intervene or hold back. Your background For this position, it is required that you have: - upper secondary school education - education or completed courses in intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum - good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have: - experience working in adapted primary and/or upper secondary school - experience working with students with intellectual disabilities - experience working with youth - good knowledge and experience with NPF - knowledge of sign language communication and/or other alternative communication methods such as picture-supported communication.
