Your new job As a music teacher with us, you get a unique opportunity to really influence students' school time. You meet students from grades 1–6 and help create joy, context, and memories that follow them far beyond the classroom. You are responsible for music instruction and actively work to develop students' musicality, creativity, and self-esteem. We are looking for someone who feels confident in the curriculum's goals and objectives and who can translate them into instruction that engages, challenges, and helps students develop. We already have an appreciated school band and would like you to continue developing and driving this work forward together with the students. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a living tradition of group singing and shared musical experiences, as well as collaborate with the music school to strengthen students' learning and interest in music. You work closely with your colleagues in a strong team and contribute to the school's overall development, where music is a natural and important part of the whole. Your expertise We are looking for someone who is trained as a music teacher, or alternatively is near the end of your training. You feel confident in the curriculum's mission and objectives for music education and have the ability to create instruction that combines knowledge development with the joy of creation and participation. You see music's potential to build community, strengthen students' self-esteem, and contribute to the school's culture. A clear student perspective characterizes the work, where high expectations and strong confidence in each student's abilities are a natural starting point. The work is conducted in a structured and goal-oriented manner with focus on quality and development. In the classroom, there is safe and clear leadership that creates instruction characterized by both structure and joy, where work is adapted based on students' different needs and circumstances so that all are given the opportunity to participate and succeed. As a person, you are relationship-building, attentive, and collaboration-oriented, with a desire to contribute to a vibrant school culture where music takes place and where students develop together. You see possibilities rather than obstacles and are driven by creating meaningful musical experiences for students. If you have experience leading ensemble playing or school bands, this is a merit.
