The Roma school district is centrally located on Gotland. The district includes five schools: Romaskolan f-9, Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre (all F-6 schools). Students from the outlying schools are bused to various degrees for instruction in several subjects at Romaskolan, and for physical education at Dalhems school. In total, our school district has approximately 620 students. Would you like to inspire students' love of music and creativity? We are now seeking a certified music teacher for grades 2-5 within the Roma school district. Your duties This position involves teaching music in grades 2-5 at all five of our schools, offering a varied and developmental workday where you meet many students and colleagues. You are responsible for planning and conducting music lessons for students in grades 2-5 according to Lgr 22 at our five schools. There is an opportunity for collaborative planning with the teacher who instructs grades 6-9 if needed. You will also participate in planning and implementing special school days around holidays and school closings. Who are you? You are a certified music teacher or awaiting your certification. A driver's license and access to your own vehicle are requirements for this position. If you have credentials in additional subjects, that is a plus. We would like you to have some work experience in educational activities, a positive outlook, and a belief in every individual's will to develop and learn. We seek someone who is passionate about teaching and wants to guide students toward knowledge, self-expression, and a desire to learn. You work in a structured and clear manner in your pedagogical leadership and have a strong ability to plan, implement, and follow up on instruction. You also have an interest in school development and actively contribute to developing the operation together with colleagues. You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom environment with engaged and involved students. We also see that you have a strong passion for music and solid experience in music and music performance. You have strong ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and you work both independently and in a goal-oriented manner in accordance with Lgr22.
