In 2026, our program celebrates its 20th anniversary.
We operate in Nacka Forum in inspiring facilities with a dance studio, vocal studio, mini stage with professional sound and lighting equipment, and a well-equipped costume wardrobe. Each school year, we create a new musical production where children and young people between ages 6 and 19 develop both artistically and personally.
After eight wonderful years, our current music teacher is moving on to new challenges in another location. Now we are looking for you to become part of our dedicated teaching team and continue developing the program with us.
About the Position Employment Type
Fixed-term Employment (temporary position)
Period
August 2026 – June 2027
Scope
30 hours per week over 24 teaching weeks per academic year (approximately 75% during active teaching period).
Teaching is primarily scheduled for:
Saturday approximately 09.30–16.00
Sunday approximately 12.00–19.00
Some evening teaching may occur
Two joint planning days with the teaching team are included.
Personal planning time of approximately seven hours per week is included as independent work. The position involves independent pedagogical responsibility within the framework of the program's goals, values, and quality standards.
The position also includes vocal recording days, dress rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and two long performance days over a weekend in June 2027.
Job Responsibilities
You will, among other things:
Teach children and young people singing with a focus on musical and stage performance.
Adapt music, arrangements, and lyrics based on the year's musical production.
Work with stage movement and choreographic material together with other educators.
Inspire and coach students based on their individual development.
Contribute to planning and implementation of the year's musical production.
Actively participate in the program's quality and development work with Nacka Municipality.
We Are Looking for Someone Who
Has pedagogical education or documented experience in (musical) theater, singing, or stage performance.
Has experience teaching children and young people.
Has strong knowledge of both singing and stage movement/dance.
Enjoys creating, developing, and inspiring.
Is a team player who enjoys working long-term with a dedicated team.
Shares our values and wants to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and creative cultural school program in Nacka.
We would especially like it if you enjoy writing song lyrics, composing music, developing musical arrangements, and contributing your own ideas to our productions.
If you have additional skills, such as in drama, dance, child and youth pedagogy, or music production, there is an opportunity to discuss an expanded role and a higher employment percentage.

Salary
The position corresponds to 75%.
Current monthly salary 26,250 kronor, based on a full-time salary of 35,000 kronor.
Salary settings follow the program's compensation model for authorized cultural school activities.
In addition to the base salary, performance-based compensation or special development supplements may be available when the program's financial circumstances permit. The assessment is based on overall results, such as program development, quality work, engagement, collaboration in the teaching team, and student participation. Any supplements are decided by the employer.
