Job Description – Nurse or Nursing Assistant
As a nurse in this role, you will work closely with a life-experienced and positive person in a home environment, with a focus on creating security, independence, and quality of life in daily living. The work is varied and combines medical responsibility with practical and social support.
Your main duties include assisting with daily morning routines. You will also help with meal preparation, lighter household chores to ensure a functioning and pleasant home environment. The role also includes accompanying the person on activities, doctor's visits, and actively helping to prevent social isolation through conversation and social presence.
An important part of the work is ensuring that prescribed medications are taken correctly and assisting with medication administration according to applicable guidelines. You will also support and motivate regular physical activity, as the person lives with osteoarthritis and rheumatism causing some stiffness and a need for daily activation and exercise several times a week.
You will work in an environment where interests such as exercise, culture, literature, and social issues are a natural part of daily life. It is therefore important that you are attentive and engaged in creating a meaningful and stimulating existence. The home also has a friendly dog, so it is positive if you are comfortable around animals.
Qualifications
We are looking for a nurse with at least three years of professional experience. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to work independently with great responsibility. As a person, you are empathetic, patient, and have a professional demeanor in both physical and emotional care situations.
You have good communication skills, are flexible in your approach, and have a genuine commitment to contributing to other people's well-being and social life. The role requires very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good physical ability. Experience with similar tasks is an advantage.
Furthermore, you are punctual, take initiative, and actively contribute to creating a safe, stable, and positive environment for the person you work with.
