This is a consulting assignment with good opportunities for permanent employment. About the Company
Karossan Invest AB is one of Sweden's leading specialists in vehicle interior systems and custom vehicle construction. The company performs assembly, welding, sheet metal, plastic, and painting work, as well as electrical installations. Karossan was founded in 1944 as a carpentry workshop with Scania as its main customer – they simply built truck cabs out of wood. As the vehicle industry has evolved, so has Karossan, with more customers and increasingly complex projects.
Today, approximately 35 people work in the operation, with production located in Södertälje. Customers include Mercedes, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Police, the Fire and Rescue Services, Relacom, SVT, Telia, and Volkswagen. Karossan stands for quality, craftsmanship, and innovative solutions – from concept to finished vehicle conversion.
Responsibilities
As a technician/electrician at Karossan, you will work with electrical installations and adaptations in various vehicle projects. You'll participate in vehicle modifications and equipment installation, working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues in production. Your tasks vary and may include cable routing, installation of electrical components, connections, and inspections. You work from drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics, ensuring installations maintain high quality throughout the process. Your working hours are Monday to Thursday, 06:30 to 15:45, and Fridays, 06:30 to 14:20.
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
Upper secondary education, preferably with a focus on electrical or technical subjects
Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics
Experience with similar work in electrical systems or vehicle adaptation is a merit
Good command of Swedish in speech and writing
Background check against the criminal record registry applies in the recruitment process
