As an Assembly Leader for Temporary Bridges at Trafikverket, you will help facilitate daily life for residents and businesses throughout Sweden. You do this by contributing to the infrastructure of the future. Work Tasks This assembly leader role belongs to the Vehicle Resources business area. We are a small results-driven unit with significant resources during an expansive phase, playing an important role in building Total Defense and particularly civil defense, where we equip ourselves to meet both anticipated and unforeseen events in order to keep Sweden moving by ensuring that roads, railways, aviation, and maritime transport continue operating during various societal disruptions. As an assembly leader, you are a practitioner with high technical expertise who is eager to get involved where and when needed. The position is highly varied and at times physically demanding, which requires you to be in good physical condition. You have the ability to see both details and the bigger picture in the operation. You will have increased responsibility for specific bridge components/materials where you maintain order and inventory, and perform maintenance. You must be able to lead others in both material handling and during operations or bridge assembly. The role also includes collaborating with logistics personnel or depot staff regarding resource and transport needs. You will lead personnel, both internally and externally. You will work to ensure workplace safety and conduct inspections during bridge assembly and subsequent routine inspections afterward. In most cases, you will lead others who have bridge expertise, but you must also be able to lead and train personnel with no experience in bridges, which is why strong teaching skills are important. You must be able to find safe solutions rather than focusing on limitations. When you start this position, you will receive internal training in bridge assembly. When a bridge construction project begins, you will receive a method description explaining the bridge assembly. It is important that you work with precision and efficiency based on drawings and construction documents. The position involves work at our depots and at other locations. You will spend week-long periods throughout the year out in the field on various operations, both supporting Trafikverket primarily and society secondarily, as well as assisting colleagues in other regions across the country. We work nationwide with operations, inventory management, and bridge assembly. As an operational resource within Vehicle Resources, you work to ensure that our equipment, vehicles, and materials maintain high quality and are ready for deployment. The work includes Band wagons, power generators, protective equipment, supplies, and heavy vehicles and machinery. My name is Mats Hedlund, and I will be your immediate supervisor. We Are Looking for You If You Have High school diploma with a technical focus or higher education in civil engineering or another educational combination with experience we consider comparable Experience in a leadership role where you have been responsible for and led personnel Experience reading drawings, measuring angles, heights, and slopes Experience working in various computer systems, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Class B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It Is Meritorious If You Have Previous experience with bridge construction projects Knowledge and practical experience in geotechnics Experience creating drawing documentation Class C/CE driver's license Operator's license for heavy machinery and forklifts Vocational certification for truck-mounted cranes over 18 metric tons Experience developing activity, time, and resource plans Other Information Please attach an updated CV as it will form the basis for selection in this process.
