We welcome your application! 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES Are you a committed native language teacher in German who wants to strengthen students' language skills and identity? Do you want to be a bridge builder between home and school to help children and young people develop their multilingualism? We are now looking for an engaged teacher in German for the native language unit. With us, you have the opportunity to work with a subject that is of great importance for students' development, learning and self-esteem. Native language instruction is scheduled outside regular class hours, and the position is 20-25%. You will also travel between different schools as needed, which means you need to have a driver's license. Your work day consists of, among other things: • Teaching in German as a native language in accordance with the school's curriculum documents. • Plan, implement and follow up on instruction with good pedagogical and didactic quality. • Create a safe, clear and language-developing learning environment. • Assess and document students' knowledge development. • Collaborate with colleagues, student health services and guardians. As part of the native language unit, you become part of an activity that values language, culture and children's development of language and identity. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are confident in your pedagogical role and who, through clear structure, create good conditions for students' learning. You are stable in all situations, and you have the ability to adapt instruction to students' needs. You are socially confident, build relationships easily and enjoy collaborating with colleagues. With creativity and curiosity, you find new ways to strengthen students' language development. We see that you use contemporary language and have a good understanding of language development in the native language. In order to be able to give students the knowledge they deserve, you must master the language very well, as well as having good pedagogical and didactic skills. Competency Requirements • Very good spoken and written skills in German. • Contemporary language use and good understanding of language development in the native language • Good spoken and written skills in Swedish • Good knowledge of and application of the school's curriculum documents • Teaching experience • Category B driver's license Meritorious Competencies It is highly meritorious to have a Swedish or foreign teaching degree, or a foreign academic degree. Note that these are not considered equivalent. We prefer a Swedish teaching degree, followed by a foreign teaching degree. Candidates will therefore be evaluated based on which qualifications they hold. It is also meritorious to have experience in the teaching profession as well as in native language instruction.
