The Preschool and Primary Education Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with close to 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students, together shaping the future.
The Multilingual Unit in Varberg is the municipality's central resource for native language instruction, study guidance, and language support. The operation consists of a large team of approximately 34 teachers who support around 750 multilingual children and students in preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools.

JOB DUTIES
As a native language teacher in Spanish with us, you have an important mission to strengthen students' linguistic identity and their ability to learn in all subjects. You become part of an organization that views the native language as a valuable resource for the student's entire school career and as a way to better understand the Swedish language. The role involves planning and delivering both native language instruction and study guidance in Spanish where you, together with other teachers, create the best possible learning experience. Your focus is to help students develop their native language and understand the school's various subjects with the help of their language.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in the role as a native language teacher, you have a special ability to create engagement and make language learning meaningful for your students. You show good judgment in your work and can independently plan your day and your efforts at different units. Because you meet many different colleagues and students during a week, it is important that you collaborate effectively with others and have an easy time adapting your teaching and your approach based on the student's age and needs.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has teaching certification with qualification in Spanish, or other pedagogical education that we deem equivalent.
- Has very good language skills in Spanish in both speaking and writing.
- Has good knowledge of the Swedish language to be able to cooperate with colleagues and interpret curricula.
- Holds a B driving license. Since the position involves teaching at several different schools and preschools during the same day, you need to be able to move easily between our dispersed units.
- Has good digital competence to use municipal learning platforms and digital tools in instruction.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: 2027-01-07, End date: 2027-06-16.
