Språkcentrum is Strängnäs kommun's unit for native language instruction and study guidance. Språkcentrum works with newly arrived students with language backgrounds other than Swedish, as well as Swedish-speaking children who have attended school abroad and are entering Strängnäs kommun's education system.
We view native language instruction and study guidance as a very important part of students' language development and achievement of educational goals.
We are now seeking a Portuguese native language teacher.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will teach in your native language. Your responsibilities include lesson planning and instruction, monitoring student progress, evaluation, communication with guardians, and grading. You will provide students with the guidance and stimulation they need in their learning and personal development based on their individual circumstances.
You will work approximately 1.5 hours per week, though this may change during the term.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone who is/has:
• qualified as a native language teacher or licensed teacher
• strong proficiency in both spoken and written Portuguese
• strong proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish
• a Category B driving license, as the position may involve travel between schools within the municipality.
It is advantageous if you have:
• previous experience in native language instruction or study guidance
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. As a person, we are seeking someone who takes responsibility for their tasks, is skilled at building good relationships, and works well with others. You interact well with students individually and in groups, are flexible, and are responsive to others' needs.
Prior to employment, the employer will request a certificate from the police criminal record register.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: Start as soon as possible according to agreement, end date: 2027-06-11.
