JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Native language teacher/study counselor in Pashto with a workload of 15%.
You will teach the native language subject, but also be able to provide study guidance in the native language for newly arrived students in the school's various subjects.
The work will be distributed across different primary schools in the municipality, in close collaboration with principals and classroom teachers.
You will follow the curriculum in the native language subject, as well as provide written evaluations and assign grades.
The work also requires that you are well familiar with the school's digital tools such as Google Drive, Google Classroom, and others, and are accustomed to developing instruction with the help of digital tools.
We work to schedule part-time positions on few days per week so that it can be combined with other employment. The size of the position depends on any combination of subjects, need for study guidance, and the number of newly arrived students in the municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is qualified to teach your native language through a Swedish teacher degree or a validated teacher degree from your home country. Furthermore, you should have completed at least 30 credits in your native language, have good knowledge of Swedish language (at least Sv3), and be able to communicate unimpeded in speech and writing.
Experience working as a native language teacher or study counselor is advantageous. Beyond this, you should have good knowledge within study guidance and IT. Knowledge within mathematics, social studies, and natural sciences is also advantageous, as well as having experience with mentorship as we work with co-mentorship for newly arrived students.
As a person, you take your own initiatives and have good collaborative skills. You are confident in yourself, flexible, positive, and engaged, and enjoy working with operations development.
