The Competence Center for Multilingualism works to provide students with the opportunity to receive instruction in their mother tongue as well as study guidance in the language they master best. The center currently has 38 different languages represented. We collaborate with both municipal and independent school authorities, from preschool class through upper secondary school.
Students who have at least one guardian with a mother tongue other than Swedish have the opportunity to study their language as a separate school subject. Through mother tongue instruction, students strengthen their multilingualism, develop their identity, and build pride in their language and background.
We are now looking for a mother tongue teacher in Kunama!
