The Multilingualism Unit organizes native language instruction, study guidance, and reception of newly arrived students. Teachers in the unit provide study guidance and instruction in approximately 20 different languages and Swedish as a second language.

The unit has meeting rooms and workspaces at Torpskolan, a central location in Lerum with good public transportation via train and bus. The position is based at Torpskolan, but work takes place at several of the municipality's schools. Adjustments may be made based on operational needs.

DUTIES
Your assignment includes teaching students Finnish as a native language for both primary and secondary school. The position may also include study guidance.
You participate with enthusiasm and commitment in meetings, professional development, and collegial learning. Planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of pedagogical work occurs both independently and together with colleagues and work teams.
Once a week, the work team meets for collegial learning and operational development where you practice, test, and share.
As a native language teacher, you will collaborate with teachers, student welfare services, and other school staff to support students' language and knowledge development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a positive force in the workplace and has a natural ability to create and maintain good social relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You are developmental in your leadership and teamwork.
You are flexible in your pedagogical approach and meet students with respect, encouragement, and high expectations. When working with pedagogical staff at schools, you are collaborative and solution-oriented while being skilled at communicating what your assignment entails.
Requirements:
· You have didactic knowledge of Finnish and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
· At least upper secondary education or equivalent.
· Native language teacher certification is desirable.
· Good experience using digital tools.
Merits:
· Teacher training or other pedagogical higher education.
· Experience working with multilingual students, native language instruction, or other teaching.
· Driver's license and access to your own car is desirable as part of the position is mobile.
