About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding existing ones, and we are now looking for more staff members. Our IT department is making a major push focused on a digital Swedish Prison and Probation Service. Together we work to create conditions and solutions that make a difference in our operations. The IT department is experiencing strong growth. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in IT, knowledge and experience that can enrich our digitalization journey and who wants to make a difference in society within your profession. Job Description We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to increasing the IT department's local support in our core operations and who is passionate about helping and educating other people with digital tools. You will be placed in the IT Service Center unit and will spend much of your time in core operations in client-related work. In your geographic service area, you will perform IT service tasks in our core operations, which include prisons, remand centers, and probation services. Our operations are conducted at various locations across the country, which means traveling extensively within your regional area. Overnight stays will occur to a lesser extent. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides pool cars for these services, which are used during working hours. In your service role, you will be an important interface between the IT department and core operations. You will be part of a unique initiative for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service that involves creating a new type of local IT support for core operations. In your service role, you will creatively contribute to increased digital maturity in the organization by, for example, acting as an advisor, guiding and supporting staff regarding the IT department's services and handling IT service requests. You will support IT support with problem-solving and assist with specific tasks such as implementations and hardware lifecycle management. You will contribute to service development by continuously gathering improvement suggestions and feedback on IT services and applications, and your work will help develop local IT security initiatives. We are looking for someone who has: Complete upper secondary education in the form of final grades or a secondary school diploma or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Experience working in service Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish B-category driver's license It is also advantageous to have: Education focused on IT Experience working in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's core operations Experience providing support to end users Experience in service focused on IT or technology Experience working as an onsite technician or similar Knowledge and understanding of service management and its support Knowledge of hardware such as PCs, thin clients, laptops, printers, and video equipment Understanding of the complexity of working in larger organizations Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to eliminate the cover letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
