Job Description We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to increasing the IT department's local support in core operations and who is passionate about helping and educating other people with digital tools. You have a strong interest in understanding employees' needs and requirements. Your service role will be an important interface between the IT department and core operations. You will be part of a continued unique initiative for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service that involves creating a new type of local IT support for core operations. You will be based in the IT department under the IT Service Center Unit and spend considerable time in core operations in client-related work. Within your geographic service area, you will carry out IT service tasks in our core operations, prisons, remand facilities, and probation services. Our operations are conducted at different locations throughout the country, which means travel within your regional area to a significant extent, with occasional overnight stays. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides pool cars for these duties used during work hours. In your service role, you will creatively contribute to increased digital maturity in the organization by, for example, acting in an advisory capacity, guiding and supporting staff regarding the IT department's services, and helping develop local IT security work. You will also support the organization with IT service tasks, assist IT support with problem-solving, contribute to service development by continuously gathering improvement suggestions and feedback on IT services and applications, and help the IT department with specific assignments, such as implementations and hardware lifecycle management. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and loyal, with the ability to work both independently and in a structured manner. You have pedagogical insight that allows you to adapt your communication to your audience and you contribute constructively to team collaboration. We are looking for someone who has: • Complete upper secondary education in the form of a final grade report or upper secondary diploma, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant • Experience in service with a focus on IT or technology • Experience working in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's core operations • Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish • Class B driver's license It is also a merit to have: • Education focused on IT • Experience supporting end users • Experience working as an on-site technician or similar • Knowledge and understanding of service management and its support • Knowledge of hardware regarding PCs, thin terminals, laptops, printers, video equipment • Understanding of the complexity of working in larger organizations Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the cover letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
