About the Role
As a software developer, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing internal software solutions used as production support for a world-leading medical device product. You'll primarily work in Python, developing system-level and instrument-level software to control, monitor, and optimize various production and test steps.
You'll also work with collection, management, and analysis of production data, and contribute to code reviews, testing, and technical documentation in a regulated medical device environment. The role involves broad responsibility across the entire development chain, from planning and implementation to quality assurance and long-term maintenance.
You'll become part of a dedicated software team working agile according to Scrum and collaborating closely with colleagues in product development and operations.
What We're Looking For

We'd like to see:
Approximately 2–5 years of software development experience
Solid experience programming in Python
Good understanding of object-oriented programming
Experience with structured development processes and documentation
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, IT, engineering physics, electronics, or equivalent relevant field
Very good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It's a plus if you have experience with:
Medtech, life science, IVD, or other regulated development environments
IVDR, GAMP, CSV, CFR Part 11, or similar regulatory frameworks
Linux, Docker, and SQL databases
GUI development
System-level, instrument-level, or hardware-level software development
Scrum or other agile methodologies

Practical Information
The position is full-time and begins as a consultant employment through Xamera, with the goal of transitioning to permanent employment with the client company after the consulting period.
The role is based at the client's office in Uppsala, with flexibility possible by agreement.
