The department orders and coordinates new construction and renovation projects, maintenance measures, repairs, and ongoing inspections. We are responsible for requirements, support, and development in the entire technology, environment, and climate field. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking an environmental surveyor who wants to coordinate, develop, and follow up on the operations and maintenance department's environmental work. The role is central to the administration's work in ensuring compliance with environmental requirements, developing work methods, and contributing to structured and forward-looking environmental work. An important part of the assignment is to manage and further develop the administration's environmental management system within the operations and maintenance department and ensure that environmental requirements and procedures are implemented in daily operations. You will be part of the Energy and Environment unit. The unit is responsible for requirements, specialist support, and development in energy, solar cells, and the environment in construction, management, and our own operations. The unit develops strategies and action proposals and leads development assignments to ensure that the administration complies with legal requirements, targets, and guidelines. The unit consists of two other environmental surveyors as well as environmental engineers, energy engineers, energy controllers, and an administrator. You will work closely with the two other environmental surveyors and the administration's environmental coordinator to develop and strengthen operational environmental work within the administration. You will have an important function in coordinating environmental issues within operations and maintenance and translating environmental goals and governing documents into practical implementation. Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will, among other things: Coordinate and develop the operations and maintenance department's environmental work, including waste and hazardous substances and materials. Manage and develop the administration's environmental management system in close cooperation with the environmental coordinator. Follow up that the department works according to established processes, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements through monitoring and spot checks. Support the department in developing environment-related governing and supporting documents. Contribute to environment-related operational planning and follow-up of goals, indicators, and action plans. Initiate, plan, and conduct training within your area of responsibility. Coordinate the administration's chemical management work. Support the operations in contacts with authorities on environmental matters. Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant higher education in environmental science and several years of experience in qualified environmental or sustainability work who enjoys creating structure, improving procedures, and translating environmental requirements into practical work methods that function in operations. You have experience coordinating, developing, and following up environmental work in an organization and have good knowledge of environmental management systems, internal audits, and monitoring of environmental goals. It is an asset if you have experience from property management, construction activities, or other technical operations. We also look positively on experience with authority contacts, environmental surveys, environmental analyses, risk assessments, and training initiatives in the environmental field. You have a good understanding of operations' environmental impact and good knowledge of environmental management systems. Knowledge of the construction and real estate sector as well as chemical management and risk assessment is an asset. To succeed in this role, you need to be analytical and structured while having the ability to collaborate, create engagement, and drive matters forward. You are accustomed to taking independent responsibility and see opportunities to develop both work methods and the organization's environmental performance.
