Would you like to work with advanced product development where testing, analysis, and problem-solving determine whether a product can withstand real-world demands? Here you'll work close to the hardware and help ensure that complex systems function under demanding conditions. About the Role As an environmental durability engineer, you'll work to ensure that the company's products can withstand the environments they're designed for. This includes understanding what stresses products will be subjected to during storage, transportation, and use, and based on this, developing appropriate requirements, analyses, and verification methods. You'll be involved early in product development and work together with designers, calculation engineers, and project managers. Part of the work involves breaking down overarching requirements, identifying which tests need to be performed, and following up on results. You'll also analyze test data and help identify causes and solutions when something doesn't meet requirements. The work encompasses several types of environmental impacts, such as temperature, humidity, vibrations, shocks, and other external stresses. Depending on the question at hand, you may work with physical testing, simulations, and calculations. The role also includes technical documentation and presentation of conclusions to other parts of the organization. You'll work through much of the product's lifecycle, gaining a broad understanding of both the product and its technical requirements. About You We're looking for someone who is analytical and structured and who enjoys diving into complex technical problems. You're curious about how different technical areas connect and want to understand both what happens and why. You have a thorough work approach and care about maintaining high quality in your analyses and documentation. At the same time, you're communicative and confident discussing technical matters with different professional roles. You like taking initiative, driving your tasks forward, and thrive at collaborating to find good solutions. Required Qualifications Master's degree in engineering in fields such as mechanical engineering, engineering physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent At least 1 year of relevant work experience Experience with analysis, testing, verification, or calculations Strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Desirable Qualifications Experience with environmental durability work Experience with vibrations, strength, or thermal analyses Knowledge of electromagnetism or EMC Experience with Matlab About the Company You'll become part of a leading player in the defense industry that develops advanced products and systems for demanding environments.
