Background
Would you like to work on environmental issues in one of Gothenburg's largest infrastructure projects? At Gryaab, you'll help develop New Rya – a billion-krona investment that will secure wastewater treatment for the entire region in the future. Here you'll work from pre-planning through facility completion alongside experienced colleagues in an operation that makes a difference for both people and the environment.
Work within New Rya is divided into four phases, and the program is currently in the pre-planning phase. The goal is for the expanded and upgraded treatment facility to be completed in 2036 to meet future treatment requirements and community needs.
Responsibilities
As an environmental specialist within New Rya, you will work on environmental issues throughout the project's lifecycle – from pre-planning and detailed planning to commissioning of the completed facility.
Examples of responsibilities:
Ensure that the New Rya program, including our contractors, complies with environmental legislation, permits, and the client's environmental requirements and set environmental goals.
Follow up on and drive environmental permit matters in the program, such as notification cases, permit applications, and control plans.
Work operationally with environmental matters in a large construction project, such as environmental inspections, building material assessments, waste management issues, chemicals, emissions, noise, dust, and protection of natural and cultural heritage.
Implementation of ISO14001 to reduce the program's environmental and climate impact. Preparation of materials for environmental and climate reporting.
Inventory, assess, and address environmental aspects in construction contracts such as selection of building materials and handling of soil masses. Write and review texts related to procurement, etc.
Lead sub-projects, primarily within the environmental field.
Collaborate with others, both within the company and external contacts, regarding environmental, climate, and other relevant matters.
You will be part of the Large Projects department and report to the department manager. The group is characterized by strong commitment, high competence, dynamism, and curiosity.
Does this sound like a role for you? Selection is ongoing, so don't hesitate to apply today.
Qualifications
We like to meet wastewater management's technical challenges together with other competencies in a practical and long-term sustainable way.
We are looking for someone who has:
At least a 3-year university degree with a focus on environmental science or equivalent. Environmental legislation must be included.
At least 5 years of experience in similar work

It is meritorious if you have:
