The department has 5 teams - environmental protection, small-scale wastewater systems, health protection, food safety, and administration. The environmental protection team is now seeking a new colleague. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As an Environmental Protection Inspector, you work with supervision and management according to the Environmental Code, with a particular focus on environmental protection. You play an important role in contact with businesses, property owners, and residents, and contribute with both guidance and regulatory authority. Your work duties include, among other things: • Supervision in areas such as agriculture, small boat harbors, waste, wastewater treatment plants, and shoreline protection • Planning, conducting, and following up on inspection visits • Handling complaints and notification cases • Advisory services and information to businesses and the public • Written documentation and delegated decisions • Responding to detailed plan and building permit inquiries You plan much of your work independently, but work is performed both independently and together with colleagues in the team. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Have a higher education degree in environmental and health protection, environmental science, or other education that the employer considers equivalent • Have good knowledge of the Environmental Code and relevant legislation • Are organized, responsible, and have good communication skills • Thrive in a role where you combine regulatory authority with service and advisory functions • See the value in and prioritize good collaboration with colleagues • Have excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing • Good computer and system skills • Hold a category B driver's license It is advantageous if you have experience with municipal supervision or work within public administration. You are attentive and pedagogical in your interactions with people, while also being confident and clear in your regulatory role.
