Environmental Sampler Parental Leave Position in Bålsta
We are seeking an Environmental Sampler for a parental leave position, starting as early as September 1st, at our office in Bålsta. About the Position The Sampling Department consists of 25 people distributed across the country, with 3 of us in Bålsta. As an Environmental Sampler, you will work approximately 80% in the field and 20% in the office. In the field, you work with water sampling. You collect samples from most types of water, such as flowing water, lakes, drinking water, leachate, and wastewater, among others. You will also work with Stockholm Water and Waste, one of our largest customers in the Stockholm area. In the office, you plan and prepare upcoming assignments, manage documentation, and perform simple administrative tasks and reporting. The work offers great freedom and many days are conducted independently in the field. When sampling from lakes and ice, you always work together with a colleague for safety reasons. As an Environmental Sampler, you have flexible hours with a base between 07:00-16:00. However, both longer and shorter days and overnight stays may occur as needed, which could be 1-5 nights per month. The position also includes being able to assist your colleagues, particularly in the central parts of the country. This means more overnight stays during those periods. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is responsible, structured, and self-reliant. You enjoy planning your own work and feel comfortable working alone during a large part of the work week. You enjoy being outdoors year-round and appreciate work that combines nature, technology, and practical tasks.
