Environmental Consultant - Contaminated Sites

Norconsult is now seeking an environmental consultant specializing in contaminated sites and building environment for our environmental department in Malmö. Here you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that contribute to sustainable land use, safe management of contaminated areas, and future community development. At our office in Malmö, the environmental department works on assignments for municipalities, government agencies, contractors, and property owners. We are a smaller and close-knit team where collaboration, competence development, and work satisfaction are in focus. With us, you will have significant responsibility while having close support from experienced colleagues and specialists. As an environmental consultant, you will work on both larger and smaller projects within contaminated sites and building environment. Your work tasks may include: · Environmental technical soil investigations and assessments · Risk assessments and risk evaluations · Mass management and remediation studies · Landfill investigations · Building environment inventories before demolition and renovation · Environmental monitoring during remediation and demolition · Coordination with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders · Contributing to the development of sustainable and innovative solutions in our projects You will work closely with assignment managers and specialists and will successively have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility in assignments. Your Profile We are looking for someone with relevant university education in environmental science, geology, or similar, and at least two years of experience working with contaminated sites. Experience with assignments for Trafikverket and/or experience in the building environment field is a merit. You enjoy working in both smaller and larger teams and have the ability to work independently and make your own decisions. Within a few years, you have the opportunity to become an assignment manager/project manager. Your passion for environmental issues and sustainable development is evident, and you have good communication and collaboration skills. You are a solution-oriented person with the ability to coordinate, plan, structure, and organize in a group.
