Environmental Consultant in Contaminated Areas

We are seeking an environmental consultant for our office in Jönköping. You will have the opportunity to combine practical field work with environmental technical investigations and grow into the role together with colleagues. This position suits you if you are newly graduated or at the beginning of your career and want to build broad and practical expertise in contaminated areas.
About the Role
You will work with environmental technical investigations of soil, water, and sediment and follow projects from start to finish. The role involves considerable field work while you gradually build your expertise in analysis, risk assessment, and reporting.
In the role you will, among other things:
- Conduct sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment
- Participate in environmental technical soil and water investigations
- Compile and evaluate investigation results
- Conduct historical inventories and risk assessments
- Write reports and technical documentation
- Participate in projects from investigation to remediation
You will become part of a team where you have close support from experienced colleagues throughout your work.
Since our assignments are located in southeastern Sweden, travel is part of the job. Most assignments are conducted in the local areas around our offices, but some days may involve longer trips.
We are Looking for You
- Have higher education or university degree in environmental science, engineering, or natural science, or equivalent vocational education in a relevant field
- Enjoy a role where field work is combined with investigation
- Have strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Hold a class B driver's license
It is a merit if you are a certified sampler according to Nordtest or have completed SGF's course in environmental technical soil investigations.
