The Environment and Health Protection Unit is now seeking an engaged and driven employee to work with environmental protection! This position is a parental leave substitute role for approximately 11 months with the possibility of extension.
A typical workday with us includes many varied tasks. You will conduct inspections at facilities that may pose potential health or environmental hazards. This could include contaminated areas, vehicle operations, and regulated facilities such as larger waste sorting plants or surface treatment facilities. Tasks may vary throughout the year, and you will also handle incoming reports, applications, and complaints, among other things. You will write decisions and have extensive contact with customers and businesses. In our activity-based office, creativity is encouraged and you work closely with your colleagues in both inspections and improvement and change work. We also actively work against welfare crime, and this should be considered in all inspections we conduct.

Are you our new employee?
The person we are seeking is attentive, dares to think differently, and challenges our operational procedures in a constructive way. You will independently inspect various facilities to determine if there are deficiencies that could negatively affect people's health or the environment. You make your assessments with support from the Environmental Code and other relevant laws and regulations. You collaborate with your colleagues by discussing deficiencies and possible solutions in various cases. You also have extensive contact with private individuals, authorities, and companies, which requires a genuine interest in building good social relationships and providing good service.
We also place great importance on your personal qualities and that you contribute to good social interaction.
We would appreciate it if you have experience as an environmental inspector that reflects modern and current professional practice.
To qualify for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
Education; you must have education in the environmental and health protection inspector field or similar (such as environmental science) that is considered relevant for the profession and current knowledge in the field.
Language skills; be able to write and speak Swedish fluently, in an easily understood and correct manner. The language should be easy to understand, and you should provide the recipient with accessible information that is legally correct and clear.
Valid category B driver's license; you will drive a car on duty.
