The Environment and Health Protection Unit is now seeking an engaged and driven employee to work with health protection supervision as one of our colleagues has gone on parental leave. The position is a temporary assignment of approximately eleven months. A normal workday with us contains many varied tasks. You will conduct inspection visits to facilities that may be a potential health or environmental hazard to check their preventive work. This could, for example, involve indoor environments at schools, multi-family housing, and care facilities. Work tasks may vary throughout the year and you will also handle incoming reports, applications, and complaints cases, among other things. You will write decisions, have extensive contact with customers and facilities, and work closely with your colleagues. We have lots of benefits! The person we are looking for is attentive, dares to think new, and challenges our operational procedures in a positive way. You will independently inspect various facilities to see if there are deficiencies that may affect people's health or the environment. You make your assessments with support from the Environmental Code and other relevant laws and regulations. You collaborate with your colleagues by discussing deficiencies and possible solutions. You also have extensive contact with individuals, authorities, and businesses, which requires a genuine interest in building good social contacts and providing good service. We also place great emphasis on your personal qualities and that you contribute to good social interaction. We view it positively if you have experience as an environmental inspector that reflects modern, current professional practice. To get the position, you must have the following qualifications: Education; you should have education in the environmental and health protection inspector field or similar (such as environmental science) that is considered relevant for the profession and current knowledge about the field. Language skills; be able to write and speak freely in understandable and correct Swedish. The language should be easy to understand and you should provide the recipient with accessible information that is lawful and clear. Valid B driver's license; you will drive a car for work.
