Responsibilities As an Environmental Inspector, you will be offered varied work with the opportunity to specialize in certain subject areas. You will primarily work within the scope of the Environmental Code, from supervision and licensing to information and advisory services, with a focus on environmental protection. Examples of tasks include supervision of operations such as industries, agriculture, fuel facilities, etc. You will plan your days between fieldwork and office work. We have made significant progress in digitizing cases, processing, and supervision to increase accessibility, legal certainty, and equal treatment. Our business system is Ecos. Qualifications We are looking for someone with environmental and health protection education from a university/college or other academic education that can be assessed as equivalent. Work experience within the Environmental Code area and with supervision is a merit. In your role as a public official, you need to have the ability to make objective and factual assessments, set clear requirements, and make decisions. This means you are communicative, can express yourself well in speech and writing, and have good computer skills. You need to have good social competence that contributes to creating mutual trust and respect in your interactions with business operators, colleagues, and citizens. It is important that you enjoy working both independently and in a team. You need to be service-oriented and have good planning and prioritization skills. The work requires a structured approach and good judgment. Furthermore, you are responsive to the needs of the operation and can reprioritize your workday based on what the operation needs at any given time. You have the ability to think strategically to see contexts, risks, and environmental benefits.
