SÖRAB's vision is clear: We make Earth's resources last longer. To succeed, we need to meet people where they are – with knowledge, dialogue, and engagement. That's why we're now hiring environmental communications officers for hourly positions. You don't need to be an expert from the start. What matters is that you have a genuine interest in sustainability, resource management, and everyday choices – and a desire to help others find workable solutions in their own lives. SÖRAB is a municipally-owned waste management company working to reduce waste volumes, increase recycling, and use Earth's resources more intelligently. Our operations span the entire waste spectrum – from prevention and reuse to collection, sorting, and waste treatment. We work closely with our owner municipalities and their residents, and we play an important role in implementing the Waste Plan 2032. The plan sets clear targets for increased food waste collection, more materials in circulation, and reduced waste through more conscious choices: shopping smarter, caring for what we already have, and giving things longer lives through reuse. With new legislation on property-based collection of packaging, which must be fully implemented by 2027, we see that the need for clear, present, and trust-building communication will increase. For many households, this change means new systems, new habits, and new questions – and personal contact plays a crucial role.
