We are now recruiting dedicated environmental workers interested in summer employment at Verdis in Upplands Väsby. Verdis is a proud player in the waste management industry handling collection and transport of various types of waste. About the jobVerdis is responsible for waste collection in several municipalities in northern Stockholm, where we work on behalf of and in close cooperation with each municipality. We now need to strengthen our department with several positive and goal-oriented environmental workers who can work full-time over the summer (May-August). As an environmental worker, you have a key role in the company. You are Verdis's face to the public and you will be one of our everyday heroes helping to keep Stockholm clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the waste management assignment is carried out in accordance with the company's procedures and our client's requirements. You report to the work supervisor. Your work tasks include, among other things: - Collection and transport of waste with rear-loading collection vehicles - Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment - Deviation reporting - Daily maintenance/inspection of vehicles and equipment, as well as washing them when necessary - Delivery of vehicles to the workshop when needed Who are you? We are looking for both C-license truck drivers and attendants who are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have: - Professional experience as a truck driver and knowledge of heavy vehicles - Previous experience with some form of waste collection - Good local knowledge (Northern Stockholm) This position suits you if you enjoy mobile work in a fast-paced environment and have good physical fitness. As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, solution-focused, and cooperative. You are also responsible and take pride in performing your work in the best possible way.
