The role of Environmental and Health Protection Inspector with us As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector with us, you will have a varied assignment within the scope of the Environmental Code. You plan and conduct oversight within one or more inspection areas, handle cases, and follow up to ensure compliance with legislation. You work both independently and in groups – often in inspection projects together with colleagues. Most decisions are made by delegation from the Environment & Health Committee, but your work also includes occasionally presenting cases to the committee. Investigate complaints. Conduct internal and external oversight according to the Environmental Code. Make decisions by delegation and present cases to the committee. Provide information and advice to businesses and residents. Develop case handling and oversight together with the unit. Your workplace is located in City Hall in Kungsbacka, right by the station. Your profile We are looking for you, someone who wants to work with environmental issues in a public authority role where service, communication, and structure are important elements. We are looking for someone who has: Relevant post-secondary education in the environmental field or work experience that the employer considers equivalent. Driver's license (category B). Good Swedish, both spoken and written. It is considered a merit if you have: Experience with oversight according to the Environmental Code. Knowledge (through education or experience) of the Administrative Procedure Act. Experience with case handling in EDP Vision or other digital case management systems.
