(Registration No. 40003982628) We invite you to join our team as a FOREST GUARD in Tīreļu Forestry (Fixed-term position) (Profession code: 541909) Your responsibilities will include: Conducting regular patrols to prevent illegal forest use and pollution; Preparing recommendations for forest management work planning; Preparing recommendations for cutting area changes based on forest stand health or natural values identified in the field; Installing and maintaining eight-tooth bark beetle traps, regular cleaning, and collecting monitoring data; Installing and cleaning bird boxes during patrols; Installing video surveillance cameras, ensuring their continuous operation, and processing collected information; Performing fire protection patrols, detecting forest fires, organizing extinguishing operations, and monitoring burned areas after extinguishing work is completed; Conducting regular monitoring of regenerated and young forest stands, timely identifying diseases, pests, and wildlife damage, and determining their extent; Preparing and timely submitting reports, measurements, and documents in accordance with regulatory requirements and job descriptions; Ensuring measurement, assessment, and documentation of firewood trees (social benefits) for purchase agreement conclusion; Ensuring measurement of hazardous trees and preparing documentation for work assignments to external service providers; Monitoring compliance with nature protection, FSC, and PEFC standards in the patrol area; Maintaining recreation facilities in the patrol area and organizing necessary maintenance work; Communicating with residents and other involved parties. We expect you to have: Secondary specialized education in forestry or equivalent; Experience working with state, municipal, and public organizations; Good communication skills; Precision, honesty, loyalty, and high sense of responsibility for assigned tasks; Good skills in MS Office software, willingness to learn new technologies and information systems; Excellent Latvian language knowledge (both verbal and written); Category B driver's license.
