If so, the position of Methods and Subject Matter Specialist, Health & SRHR might be for you! About the job As a methods and subject matter specialist, you will provide thematic support to operational departments and foreign missions. You will also contribute to learning by making evidence, external analysis, methods, and knowledge development accessible to support effective implementation of development cooperation. You will coordinate Sida's thematic network for Improved Health for the Most Vulnerable. Beyond your role as methods and subject matter specialist, you are expected to actively contribute to intervention management and case handling over time. You will be part of the Results Department and the THEME 2 Unit, which provides thematic support, makes evidence and external analysis accessible, and develops methods and knowledge within the Business Strategy's external objectives of Promoting Freedom and Combating Oppression, Strengthened Freedom and Empowerment for Women and Girls, and Improved Health for the Most Vulnerable, as well as Corruption as a Development Obstacle. The unit is also responsible for providing thematic expert support to the Government Offices. Duties Coordinate Sida's thematic network for Improved Health for the Most Vulnerable. Together with the health team, coordinate and implement activities for knowledge development and learning, including thematic support and methodological support, as well as competence development. Based on proven experience and evidence, provide thematic operational support to operational units, departments, and foreign missions within the subject area. Contribute to subject-related assignments to the Government Offices and Sida's leadership. Contribute to monitoring and reporting on the subject area's development through research and external monitoring, and participate in thematic external analysis. Qualification requirements Education Academic degree or academic education, or other education that the employer deems relevant. Languages Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Work experience and knowledge Documented professional experience with health and SRHR for at least 7 years. Experience in knowledge and methods development within the subject area. Strong external analysis competence and the ability to compile analyses into clear contexts and structures that make it easy for operational units, departments, and foreign missions to use evidence in analysis, assessment, and decision-making. Experience in policy work and policy dialogue with a focus on health and/or SRHR. Experience working at a foreign mission, civil society organization, or multilateral organization, or equivalent in an international environment. Ability to translate thematic knowledge into practical intervention management and case handling, including experience in assessing, monitoring, and quality-assuring development interventions. Meriting factors for this role Master's degree with relevant orientation for the position. Experience leading processes as a project manager. Experience with digitalization in health and SRHR.
