We are looking for you as a mentor As a mentor at Realgymnasiet in Göteborg, you will work with the development of a student group. You are part of our student support team and collaborate closely with teachers and student support specialists to ensure our students have the best conditions for learning. You will primarily work with students' personal and academic development. In our vocational programs, their employability after graduation is an important part of the role, and for students in college preparatory programs, their motivation and opportunity for further studies. You will work coaching our students through motivational initiatives, goal setting, and future planning. You will support students through help with study planning and study techniques. An important part of the role is ensuring that students' study plans are up to date and align with the program's requirements. The position also includes other administrative tasks as you will also take on certain career guidance responsibilities in the role. You collaborate with school staff and lead mentoring work in a broad perspective, based on the school's current educational offerings. You will participate in student welfare work, maintain contact with guardians, plan and participate in mentor meetings, development conversations, parent meetings, and similar activities. You support students during the school day and in their contact with teachers. Furthermore, you work continuously and ongoing with our teachers to communicate goal fulfillment to the student. As a mentor, you have a holistic perspective with the student in focus. We are located in the heart of Göteborg, right at Järntorget, and you will be part of a wonderful team where we care for each other and our students. We are looking for someone interested in motivating, supporting, and empowering our students to reach as far as they can! Qualifications To be considered for this role, we see that you have: - Completed pedagogical/socialpedagogical education - Previous experience in upper secondary school - Other education that the employer considers equivalent It is meritorious if you have a degree from the Study and Career Guidance Program.
