We are seeking a mechatronics or mechanical design engineer for a consulting assignment where you work at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and embedded systems. You will follow the development from requirements and early concepts through detailed design, prototyping, verification, and implementation. You combine design work in SolidWorks with hands-on prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
Work Tasks
– Develop electromechanical solutions from requirements and concepts to design, verification, and implementation
– Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks
– Design mechanical components, enclosures, cabling, and interfaces with electrical and embedded systems
– Build, modify, and troubleshoot prototypes
– Mechanical assembly, cabling, and connectors
– Electrical measurements, functional testing, and design verification
– Electrical calculations: power, current, voltage drop, and cable sizing
– Maintain technical documentation and manage design changes
– Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
We are looking for someone with
– Relevant technical education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product development, or similar
– Experience in product development and mechanical or electromechanical design
– Strong experience with 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks
– Understanding of how mechanics, electronics, cabling, and embedded systems integrate into a product
– Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
– Good understanding of electrical measurements and calculations
– Systematic work with technical documentation and changes
– Ability to collaborate across technical disciplines
Additional merits: DFM/DFA, material and component selection, or close collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers.
