Your Responsibilities
We continuously receive requests for mechanical design engineers at Saab! Through your application, you have the opportunity to be matched to different positions based on your interests, experience, and qualifications.
As a design engineer at Saab, you will work with development, design, and customization by creating various concepts and proposals in the field of mechanical construction. You will have significant responsibility in meeting the specified requirements and customer needs. The work involves interaction and close collaboration with colleagues and other internal stakeholders such as production engineers and manufacturing teams.
Depending on your specialization, your responsibilities may vary. Examples of tasks include 3D modeling using CAD tools Catia V5 and Solid Edge, work with electrical design and circuit diagrams, electrical systems development, and integration of electrical or mechanical components. Saab is a large employer where there is a continuous need for both mechanical and electronics design engineers, and we will work together with you to find the best fit!
Your Profile
We are interested in hearing from candidates with several years of experience in this field. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and strong knowledge in mechanical design. As a person, you are self-directed, well-organized, and solution-oriented. Since this position involves close contact with multiple departments and roles, we prefer someone who is communicative and collaborative.
Requirements for the Position:
Post-secondary education in engineering, for example in mechanical engineering, product development, or similar.
Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or tool design or related areas.
Knowledge and/or experience with CAD systems.
Strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience with Catia V5 and Solid Edge is highly desirable.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may in some cases require specific citizenship.
