About the Position Columbia Elektronik is looking for a mechanical design engineer who designs test fixtures for circuit boards. We design and manufacture one-off products for our customers. This means each new project presents new challenges, and we need someone with strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical eye. As a design engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the product meets the customer's requirements. We are looking for someone with several years of experience in mechanical design or similar. You should have good communication skills as the work involves considerable customer contact. Job Description Columbia Elektronik primarily designs and manufactures test fixtures for circuit boards, but also fixtures for final testing of finished products. We combine mechanical design, precision, and user-friendliness in one system. It's about increasing performance, minimizing risks, and creating smarter solutions from the start. Responsibilities: • Design of test fixtures according to specifications for manufacturing • Development of design proposals for customers • Continuous improvements Expectations: We are looking for someone who is: Self-directed Proactive Communicative Solution-oriented What We're Looking For At least 5 years of design experience Relevant technical education Strong Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written Valid driver's license and access to your own car Meritorious Experience with mechanical design Experience with production or product development Interest in continuous improvements and quality work Experience with SolidWorks
