We at Snells Entreprenad AB are seeking a Mechanic/Technician for our stacking equipment at our project in LKAB's mining area in Svappavaara, Kiruna Municipality.
If you don't live at the work site, we arrange accommodation at cost. Start date by agreement.
About the Agreement
We have signed a contract with LKAB for raw material transportation, storage handling, additives, and road maintenance in Svappavaara. The contract is for four years plus options and came into effect on January 1, 2025. The assignment includes, among other things, loading material at the plant, loading railway cars, transporting material by truck within the area, service work with wheel loaders, and road maintenance in the form of snow plowing, sanding, watering, and more.
Job Responsibilities
As a mechanic/technician with us, your main task will be to manage the daily operation of our two stacking systems. You will serve as a key connector and therefore assist with various types of work performed on or around the equipment. You have primary responsibility for troubleshooting and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the stacking systems. You will also assist with minor repairs. The position includes some driving of wheel loaders to lower, build up, and move the equipment. In addition to operating your vehicle safely and efficiently, you should be active and contribute to a good work environment at the workplace, identify improvement opportunities, and help management with these. As a mechanic/technician with us, you are an important player in our ability to deliver our best every day.

Qualifications
Previous experience working with belt conveyors/vibrating screens.
Knowledge and skills in performing maintenance work and repairs.
Welding certification.
Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious if you have experience operating machinery/wheel loaders.
Working Hours and Salary
Working hours: Shift schedule 7/7 (daytime)
Salary: According to collective agreement with IF Metall Mining Contractor Agreement.
Employment terms: Permanent position with an initial six-month probationary period.
