About the Role As a mechanic at Svealandstrafiken, you will play a key role in ensuring that our buses are in top condition. You will work with preventive maintenance and repairs, which is crucial for our vehicles to continue delivering high quality and safety. Your work will be varied and challenging, where you get to use your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. To get a good introduction to the work and company, you will begin your employment by working at our workshop in Örebro. Qualifications To succeed in the mechanic role with us, you need to have the following qualifications: A degree in vehicle mechanics is a requirement. If you also have several years of experience working as a mechanic, you are even more interesting to us. Experience working as a truck/bus or general heavy equipment mechanic is a merit. Good computer skills and experience with troubleshooting using modern technology. You have good knowledge of Swedish and can communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Possess a Swedish driver's license with category B authorization. Meriting qualifications include: Experience with electric vehicles/hybrids. AC authorization. Forklift certification. Scissor lift training. Fall protection training. D authorization. Job Responsibilities As a mechanic, your main job responsibilities will include: Perform preventive maintenance on our buses. Perform repairs, service, and inspection checks. Troubleshoot technical problems using diagnostic software. Work closely with colleagues to ensure all vehicles are in optimal condition. Maintain high safety standards and contribute to a positive work environment.
