This is us, your new colleagues At our facility in A-hallen in Lundby, we drive the development of Volvo Trucks by testing and verifying various functions and requirements of our components. A large part of the testing is within structural integrity, but we also test fuel consumption, climate, regulatory requirements for sound, and more. In our group of 11 mechanics, each with different expertise, we collectively contribute through testing to creating the magic our customers experience when buying and driving the trucks! What will you get to do? Build and prepare test materials Build and prepare rigs Manufacture parts according to drawings Sheet metal work in the machine shop Support both during ongoing and after completed tests Take responsibility for continuous improvements within your area Who are you? We'd like you to have experience with: Testing Experience working in a mechanical workshop or technical workshop training Some electrical and PLC competence Swedish and English spoken and written, and good PC skills C/E license is a merit Working with continuous improvements As a person, we want you to be customer-focused, engaged, action-oriented, and enjoy problem-solving. Our daily work in the workshop is varied and conditions can change quickly depending on test outcomes from our rigs. Therefore, it's essential that you're flexible with different work tasks and have a strong sense of responsibility. It's also important that you're systematic and thorough – it's more fun when it works right the first time!
