The Operations-Oriented IT/MT Gällivare Unit is part of the Digital Operations Support & MT business area, which delivers daily IT and MT operations to Region Norrbotten's various healthcare facilities. You will work in a team with various professionals, such as other MT engineers/technicians and IT technicians. The team's primary mission is to provide efficient and patient-safe IT and MT support to other operations in close collaboration.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone with a technical secondary education or other education that, combined with work experience, can be deemed equivalent. It is a merit if you have an engineering degree at university level, experience with medical technology and IT, and practical service work within healthcare. Excellent skills in Swedish and English as well as a Class B driver's license are required.
Since we work closely with healthcare operations and are in daily contact with our customers, we seek someone who is service-oriented and collaborates easily. In healthcare settings, you demonstrate good judgment and act, communicate, and make decisions thoughtfully. What You'll Be Working With
MT engineers/technicians are responsible for the operation of medical technology equipment throughout Region Norrbotten. The work encompasses the entire lifecycle—procurement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and decommissioning—in areas such as dialysis, intensive and emergency care, surgery, laboratory medicine, and radiology.
Practical maintenance and troubleshooting work alternates with supporting other functions by providing technical expertise in development projects and procurement processes. You will actively participate in developing our operations in close collaboration with healthcare, and all work is carried out in accordance with applicable regulations. The position is based at Gällivare Hospital. Travel within the region occurs, primarily to health centers in the municipality as well as to hospitals in other locations.
Product training and competence development from our suppliers take place continuously during your employment, sometimes also outside the Nordic region.

Job Information
We offer a permanent full-time position with start date by agreement. Working hours are during daytime, Monday - Friday. Selection and interviews take place continuously, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
