Markverkstad Tofta is in the startup phase for a new medical technology capability. The position is located in Tofta and is part of Markverkstad Syd, which operates on Gotland, in Karlskrona, Ronneby, and Revingehed. The new capability means that we will be able to perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technical equipment and provide technical system support where requested. This includes maintenance in the form of inspection, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scrapping, installations, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspection. The majority of the work takes place on Gotland but also in other locations throughout the country.
The position requires, in the startup phase, that travel to Markverkstad Gothenburg will be mandatory; the travel is included in the internal training package. Subsequently, the position involves periodic travel to other locations.

Main Responsibilities
The work tasks consist mainly of preventive and corrective maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technical equipment, including the following.
Maintenance of medical technical products
Documentation in the Swedish Armed Forces' material maintenance support system
Conduct basic training and provide technical support in the field
Other tasks within the unit
Examples of equipment handled:
Monitoring monitors, defibrillators, syringe and volume pumps, autoclaves, dish disinfectors, reducing valves, ventilators, suction pumps, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
At least completed and approved secondary education with technical/electrical focus or competence acquired through professional experience deemed equivalent by the employer
Previous experience of several years of practical service and maintenance work on technical equipment
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Computer proficiency with knowledge of, e.g., Word and Excel
At least manual B driver's license

You are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt in a changing environment.
