About the Position
We are seeking an experienced registered nurse for a unique combination role as a Medical Responsible Nurse (MAS) and nurse with educational responsibility for the Competence Center.
You will have a central role in the municipality's work with integrated care, workforce competency, and patient safety. The position combines a strategic MAS assignment with the development of education and learning.
Vadstena Municipality is committed to competency, quality, and patient safety. Our new Competence Center, which we opened at the beginning of the year, offers skills training, scenario training, and theoretical education for healthcare and elderly care employees.
You will help develop the business further while ensuring that the municipality's healthcare services are provided with high medical quality and patient safety.
Competence Center
As education responsible, you will:
- Plan, partially conduct, and evaluate educational initiatives for employees
- Develop skills and scenario training
- Contribute to structured introduction and mentoring
- Identify and follow up on competency needs
- Collaborate with internal and external educational actors
MAS Assignment
As MAS, you have municipality-wide responsibility for medical quality and patient safety. You will:
- Develop and follow up on medical guidelines and procedures
- Monitor quality, incidents, and patient safety
- Manage Lex Maria processes
- Follow up on medication management, medical records, and delegations
- Report patient safety issues to the responsible board
- Contribute medical expertise in business development
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, authorities, and other actors
You work closely with the business manager, healthcare and social services manager, and administration, and have access to a regional MAS network.

You are an experienced nurse with broad medical competency and interest in patient safety, education, and development.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Registered nurse
- Several years of experience as a nurse
- Category B driving license for manual transmission
Meriting:
