Medical Director for Rehabilitation (MAR) at Tranås Municipality

We are looking for you to take on a strategic and central role in developing rehabilitation, care, and social services in Tranås Municipality. As MAR, you will be instrumental in strengthening quality, safety, and medical expertise in municipal healthcare and contributing to more cohesive and accessible rehabilitation services close to residents. You will also drive operational development across the entire care and social services administration. Your expertise will have an impact on both strategic decisions and daily quality work. You will report directly to the Director of the Care and Social Services Administration in Tranås Municipality. WORK TASKS Your assignment covers three areas: Systematic patient safety work, knowledge and competence development, and operational development. Systematic Patient Safety Work Together with the medical responsible nurse, you will ensure that there is an effective patient safety process. You develop a patient safety plan, establish and follow up on compliance with procedures and internal audits, write patient safety reports, and investigate serious incidents according to lex Maria. You work in close dialogue with the administration's care and social services personnel and managers. Knowledge and Competence Development You provide expert support to managers and employees on rehabilitation, habilitation, and patient safety matters. You identify competence development needs within the care and social services administration and initiate and participate in training initiatives. You follow national and regional developments in the patient safety field and its legislation. Operational Development Together with operational developers at the administrative office, you develop and improve processes and working methods across the entire administration (including outside the patient safety area), primarily through digitalization and welfare technology. You take on project management roles in various development projects. You assist in lex Sarah investigations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist. We welcome experience in healthcare and municipal operations. It is important that you are comfortable with a structured and process-oriented working approach. You have good digital skills and enjoy working with administrative tasks and collaboration.
