About the Operation The Orthopedic Clinic at Falun Hospital provides both acute and planned orthopedic care. The operation includes an outpatient clinic, two inpatient wards, and close collaboration between several professional groups. The clinic is part of Dalaortopedi, where Falun and Mora together develop orthopedic care in the region. With us, you will find varied work in an operation where collaboration, quality, and service are important parts of daily operations. As a medical secretary, you are a central part of administrative support and contribute to safe patient documentation, well-functioning patient flows, and good service to patients, care staff, and partners. Job Duties We currently have 14 medical secretaries who participate in a scheduled rotation system where we alternate between different tasks. As a medical secretary, you have an important function in the clinic's daily operations. You work closely with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and other staff members, contributing administrative expertise in an operation with many contact points. Job duties include, among others: Medical documentation in Cosmic Diagnosis and procedure coding Mail, referral, and case management Telephone service and administrative patient contacts Reception work at the orthopedic outpatient clinic Administrative support to all clinic staff Participation in the development of work methods, quality, and service within the healthcare administrative area Qualifications Requirements: Medical Secretary Program 120 hp, Healthcare Administration Program 180 hp, Medical Secretary YH 400 p, or 1-year post-secondary medical documentation education. Good knowledge of medical terminology Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required Meritorious: Experience working in Cosmic Experience with diagnosis and procedure registration The right person for this position has a positive attitude toward their work and colleagues. You have a professional demeanor, contribute to a good work environment, and enjoy being part of a team where different professions work together for the patient's benefit.
